LJA, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager (Utilities) to lead design and construction projects for CPS Energy, SAWS and municipal clients in the San Antonio/Austin area. You will coordinate utilities, manage schedules and budgets, and mentor staff.

The role offers hands-on leadership with opportunities for professional growth in an employee-owned firm that values collaboration, continual learning, and client-focused delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• PE license in the State of Texas preferred.
• 3+ years of experience managing a team of designers/engineers in utility design and construction.
• 4+ years of experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, MS Office, and/or Geopak or Open Roads.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with upper management.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead utility design/construction projects for CPS Energy, SAWS, and municipal clients.
• Manage project schedules and financial requirements and mentor team members.
• Coordinate utilities, perform design calculations, and direct engineering designs.
• Collaborate with staff, clients, consultants, and senior project managers.
