University of Texas at Austin's Utilities and Energy Management is seeking a Technical Staff Assistant IV to develop journey-level skills in operation, maintenance and repair of trade equipment. You will learn through hands-on duties, safety training, and progressive certification while supporting campus energy services.

The role includes driving university vehicles, adhering to safety policies, and attending staff meetings.

Formación

• High school graduation or GED.
• At least four years of skilled construction and maintenance of equipment or apparatus.
• Use of standard shop machine and measuring tools.

Responsabilidades

• Learns journey level skills by installing, maintaining, operating, building, or repairing the equipment and materials relevant to the trade assignment.
• Performs job related duties as assigned; work is inspected for safety, quality and quantity by journey-level staff.
• Drives University vehicles and maintains acceptable driver rating as required.
• Uses tools and equipment to perform duties as outlined in the journey level job description.
• Attends staff meetings; completes plant operation and maintenance training; training certification within 18 months.
• Follow all safety policies; wear PPE and report safety hazards; participate in on-call hours when required.
