Job summary

City of Tomball seeks a Utilities Crew Chief to supervise a small crew in installing, maintaining, and repairing water, sewer, and gas utilities. You will oversee tasks, ensure safety, and manage equipment and work orders.

# Utilities Crew ChiefTomball, TX 77375## OverviewPosition TypeFull Time## Utilities Crew ChiefThe City of Tomball is accepting applications for a **Utilities Crew Chief.** The role will be responsible for supervising a crew, guiding them in the installation, construction, repair, and maintenance of the City-owned water, sewer, and gas utility facilities. As an experienced professional, the Crew Chief is entrusted with critical decision-making responsibilities, emphasizing job safety and efficient task completion.**Reports To** Utilities Superintendent**Positions Supervised** Utilities Serviceperson**Utilities Crew Chief** **functions** **include but are not limited to the following.*** **Lead Supervision:** Supervise and lead a crew of 2-3 service persons. Ensure the safety and efficient completion of tasks. Make informed decisions based on years of experience and in-depth knowledge.* **Installation and Maintenance:**Oversee the installation, construction, and repair of water, wastewater, and gas utility lines and service lines. Ensure proper maintenance of utilities infrastructure.* **Equipment Management:** Operate excavation and other relevant equipment. Ensure equipment is maintained in good working condition.* **Administrative Duties:**Complete and manage work orders related to utilities tasks.
