Job summary

Sandvik Coromant is seeking an Application Specialist to support the Utah region, with the candidate residing in or near the Salt Lake City area. You will provide technical support and build customer relationships as part of a global tooling leader.

This role involves consulting on CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and tooling applications, collaborating with internal teams, maintaining a CRM-driven sales pipeline, and identifying new opportunities to grow market share. Travel approx. 10% overnight.

Qualifications

Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience of at least 10 years in a shop).
Hands-on experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and cutting tools.
Proven success in solving technical applications in a shop environment.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (approx. 10% overnight).

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Deliver customer productivity and cost savings by utilizing the full Coromant product and service offering
Identify new business opportunities and grow market share
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver total customer solutions
Use your technical expertise to consult on CNC machining and tooling applications
Maintain and optimize the sales pipeline using CRM tools to ensure accurate tracking, forecasting, and follow-up on customer engagements
