Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Rope Access UTSW Technician for a full-time role at our Texas City, TX location. The technician will uphold safety standards, perform field and administrative tasks, and participate in pre-planned rescue protocols.

Certification in SPRAT or IRATA is required or pursued through company training. The technician will lead safety meetings, document performance, and collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure timely, high-quality work.

Qualifications

• Maintains certification as a Level I–III Rope Access Technician (SPRAT or IRATA).
• High school diploma or GED; applicable degrees are a plus.
• CPR/First-aid/AED certified at hire or within 60 days; ongoing certification expected.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence without restrictions.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic tech; strong communication skills.
• Proof of classroom hours/NDT Training.
• Previous Level II certifications/OJT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represents MISTRAS professionally at all times.
• Provides exemplary customer service and internal/external support.
• Works in a team to complete field and admin tasks on time with quality.
• Maintains a strong focus on safety and risk management per procedures.
• Conducts daily safety meetings and updates JHA as needed.
• Leads, trains, and develops assigned team members.
• Documents performance feedback and maintains morale.
• Coordinates with Project Managers and leadership on issues.
