Job summary

ATS Mechanical Integrity Group is seeking a Resident Inspector to lead the UT program on-site at a customer facility in Upstate New York. The role includes coordinating UT testing, managing data in PSAim, and maintaining UT maps and isometrics to ensure thorough inspection of assets.

This full-time position requires 8–10 years of experience in mechanical reliability and related fields, with at least 1 year of UT experience, and offers relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year UT experience; PT/MT certifications a plus.
• Certification for confined space entry and mobile platforms (eg boom lifts).
• Excellent professionalism and work ethic; safety-focused.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• High School Diploma or BS in Mechanical/Structural Engineering preferred.
• Proficient with Excel spreadsheets and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Daily scheduling of UT testing.
• Monitor data entry into PSAim database for quality.
• Verify low-remaining life data in PSAim and cross-check field data.
• Validate UT data coverage and add inspection points as needed.
• Coordinate with drafting to update pipes in database and UT data to new TMLs.
• Update piping isometrics to current TMLs.
• Train Owner/Contractor staff to support NDT work.
• Suggest updates to site NDT procedures.
• UT weld inspection for new piping fabrication.
