Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking a highly skilled NDT Level II Inspector for UT/MT/VT inspections across diverse projects in the New York metro area. This field-based role requires significant travel, rigorous documentation, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include performing UT/MT/VT inspections, collecting samples, reporting results, and ensuring conformance to codes (ASME, ASTM, AWS, API). Technician mentoring and safety emphasis are integral to the position.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid NDT Level II UT certification.
• Must hold valid NDT Level II MT certification.
• Must hold valid NDT Level II PT certification.
• Must hold valid NDT Level II VT certification.
• Certifications current per SNT-TC-1A or ASNT CP-189 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT inspections using UT, MT, VT and optional PT.
• Field testing and sample collection for lab verification.
• Verify material conformance to codes and project specs.
• Operate and maintain NDT equipment per safety guidelines.
• Prepare inspection reports with findings and documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers and QC personnel.
• Train Level I technicians and assist Level III for certification.
