Job summary

ECS is seeking a Field Services Engineering Specialist to support the USPS MTSC in Norman, OK. The role covers installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for USPS automation equipment.

It also trains employees and develops life cycle support documentation based on engineering and vendor information. The position involves leading maintenance activities, coordinating with customers, and preparing technical documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in industrial equipment automation repair.
• US citizen or Green Card Holder; ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Willing to travel for training, site visits and related needs.
• Available for off-hours calls to support operations.
• Draft/update technical documentation; verify against engineering/COTS docs.
• Experience with mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.
• Knowledge of PLC systems.
• Able to communicate technical guidance and failures to customers.
• Interface with customers to resolve problems; life-cycle support familiarity.
• Basic industrial control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Determine and recommend products or services for USPS customer needs.
• Familiarize with USPS equipment servicing concepts and procedures.
• Guide, plan and facilitate equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Perform maintenance, installation and repair tasks.
• Lead and direct the work of others.
• Apply creativity and initiative in execution of duties.
• Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
