Job summary

Everforth ECS in Norman, OK seeks a Field Services Engineering Specialist to support MaRS maintenance and technical support at the USPS MTSC.

You will install, troubleshoot, repair, train staff, and develop life-cycle documentation, while coordinating with USPS and internal teams. Must be US citizen or green card holder and able to obtain Public Trust clearance; travel for training and site visits required; some off-hours support may be needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in industrial equipment automation repair.
• US citizen or Green Card holder and must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Willing to travel for training, site visits, and related business needs.
• Be available for off-hours calls if necessary to support operations and resolve urgent issues.
• Draft and/or update technical documentation for machinery, ensuring clear, accurate instructions for users and technicians.
• Experience with maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.
• Knowledge of PLC systems.

Everforth ECS is seeking aField Services Engineering Specialistto workat the USPS Maintenance and Technical Support Service Center (MTSC) inNorman, OKoffice. This role will support the Matrix Regional Sorter (MaRS) maintenance and technical support efforts. Please Note:This position is contingent upon additional funding.

This position provides support for the installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for the new Matrix Regional Sorter (MaRS) package processing automation machines and technologies. Additionally, this role trains employees, and identifies, analyses, counsels on, and guides, the repairs of USPS automation equipment failures. This role also develops procedures and processes to prevent potential future equipment failures and issues, and develops life cycle support documentation, to include maintenance and safety procedures based on engineering, vendor, and COTS information.

Candidates must be able to obtain a USPS Public Trust clearance. This requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status (Green Card), and the ability to pass a stringent background check.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in industrial equipment automation repair or a related field.
• US citizen or Green Card Holder and must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Must be willing to travel for training, site visits, and related business needs.
• Be available for off-hours calls if necessary to support operations and resolve urgent issues
• Draft and / or update technical documentation for machinery, ensuring clear, accurate, and accessible instructions for users and technicians. Verify and validate documentation based on engineering and COTS documentation.
• Experienced with maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of machines and equipment as related to mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems
• Able to communicate, orally and in writing, technical guidance, equipment failure analysis, problem management and trend analysis to support maintenance customers.
• Interface and coordinate with internal and external customers to resolve equipment and system problems.
• Understand repair and maintenance life-cycle support methodologies.
• Basic industrial control/systems knowledge or experience.

Desired Skills

• Ability to guide and assist remotely located technicians in troubleshooting equipment and system malfunctions using fault isolation techniques, including on-line diagnostic tools and systems.
• Ability to support and prioritize multiple tasks, problems, and projects based on customers' expectations, criticality, and operation impacts.
• Process Improvement experience using Six Sigma DMAIC Software or engineering Life-cycle support methodology and experience.
• Ability to conduct trend analysis of equipment failures and recommend action to reduce failure occurrence.
• Experience writing Preventive Maintenance Routes and technical documentation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; Excel
