Job summary

Morton Salt, Inc. is seeking a Quality role focused on USP/FSQR activities at our Ohio site. You will back up the FSQR Supervisor and Manager, ensuring product safety, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of systems.

You will supervise USP technicians, coordinate testing, review COAs, and lead validation studies while supporting internal audits and training. This role demands strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science or related science field is required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a USP/pharma manufacturing environment or quality laboratory.
• Strong knowledge of 21CFR 210, 211, ICH Q7 or other pharma regulations.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure USP compliance with specifications, customers and regulatory requirements at the site.
• Support USP investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Assist FSQR Manager during USP audits and customer audits.
• Oversee USP laboratory testing, release and GLP programs.
• Review COAs for accuracy and distribution as applicable.
• Generate, review and revise USP SOPs and forms.
• Lead USP validation studies for the site.
• Schedule USP testing with operations and order necessary supplies.
