Job summary

AEG Presents is seeking an Usher/Ticket Taker in Boston to provide excellent guest service at events. You will greet attendees, aid seating, scan tickets and guide guests to the proper areas while ensuring safety and a welcoming atmosphere.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 0–1 years of experience, and strong communication skills. Availability includes evenings, weekends, and holidays; professional appearance is expected.

Job description

Summary

The Usher/Ticket Taker is responsible for providing excellent customer service at all events, including greeting guests, assisting them with finding seats, controlling access points, scanning tickets, and offering directions while ensuring all guest needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist guests with directional and informational inquiries by demonstrating strong knowledge of the facility and event(s).
• Communicate in a professional manner with other building staff, clients, guests, supervisors and corporate staff on important information.
• Work to effectively accommodate guests with disabilities while complying with facility/event ADA requirements.
• Display a calm and attentive demeanor when rectifying issues with guests.
• Check COVID-19 vaccination cards and IDs of individuals attending the event.
• Check and scan guest tickets upon entry to the facility/venue or section; review guest tickets to direct them to the appropriate area.
• Control access points to prevent unauthorized entries.
• Report any activities or behaviors that conflict with facility/event policy or code of conduct to supervisor or Event Manager.

Qualifications

• A minimum education level of High School Diploma or its equivalency.
• A minimum of 0-1 years of related work experience.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay Scale: $16.07 - $17.14/hour

Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.

Benefits: This position may be eligible for benefits (ACA qualification).
