Job Title: User Experience Researcher – Marketing Automation + AI (Contract)

Location: Remote (Preferred: California, Atlanta, Seattle, or Chicago)

Contract Duration: 12 Months(Potential for extension or permanent conversion)

Pay Rate : $76 /hr. on w2

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced User Experience Researcher to lead research efforts within the Marketing Automation and AI product areas. You’ll drive a full spectrum of research initiatives — from generative discovery research to usability testing — to deeply understand our users and inform product strategy and design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead qualitative and quantitative user-centered research to identify pain points, validate solutions, and inform design strategy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Design, Engineering) to shape research questions aligned with business goals
• Develop comprehensive research plans and protocols, identifying the right methodologies for each research phase
• Coordinate with internal teams for participant recruitment and study logistics
• Moderate sessions, analyze results, and synthesize clear and actionable insights
• Present findings to stakeholders and executive audiences, ensuring recommendations align with user and business needs
• Contribute to the creation of conceptual designs based on research insights and user stories
• Be the voice of the customer, advocating for usability and accessibility across the product lifecycle

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4–6 years of hands-on UX research experience with a portfolio showcasing relevant projects
• Master’s degree or equivalent in HCI, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field
• Deep expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methods
• Excellent storytelling and communication skills; capable of conveying insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong skills in study design, facilitation, and insight synthesis

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with remote research tools (e.g., Morae, Webex)
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping tools like Axure
• Experience presenting research through video and visual storytelling formats
• Familiarity with AI or marketing automation tools a plus

Must-Have Skills:

• Expert research skills across methods
• Strong desk research, stakeholder communication, and storytelling abilities
