Contract: 6+ Months

Job Description:

As a Senior User Experience Researcher, you will join the Office of the CIO, UX Center of Excellence (UX CoE) organization, focusing on employee-facing products and tools. The UX CoE organization is tasked with enabling Adobe's global workforce to collaborate, innovate, and be productive from anywhere.

The Senior UX Researcher (UXR) consults with stakeholders to understand business problems and scopes, evaluate information from multiple sources, and create informed research methodology recommendations to impact solutions. The UXR designs appropriate studies for the business needs, partners with multidisciplinary teams, and leverages Infuse, our design thinking framework, to ensure digital workplace solutions prioritize user needs. The ideal candidate will understand and influence business goals, workplace tools, and collaborate with design and technical partners to keep employee needs at the forefront, empowering Adobe's global workforce.

What you’ll do:

1. Uncover user experience goals, needs, and priorities, delivering actionable research that influences solutions, managing multiple projects, and promoting user experience best practices.
2. Conduct research studies from start to finish, including developing research plans, coordinating study launches, and analyzing data into insights. Studies may include qualitative interviews, usability testing, benchmarking, or surveys based on business goals.
3. Assess project scope, determine suitable research questions and methods, and communicate the rationale clearly.
4. Advocate for employees by presenting research findings and product ideas clearly, working directly with design and technical teams to implement recommendations.
5. Engage proactively with stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and designers, to define research methodologies.
6. Work with cross-functional teams to build consensus and advocate for solutions that balance user needs with business objectives.

What you need to succeed:

• Experienced researcher passionate about employee experience, supporting connection, reducing friction, and advocating for employee needs and work practices.
• Significant hands-on research experience, with some applying research in industry settings.
• Mastery of mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative), understanding their tradeoffs and best applications within time constraints, and ability to explain the rationale.
• Ability to analyze insights and articulate impactful recommendations for digital solutions.
• Understanding of technology development cycles to time research effectively.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of articulating problems in various ways for different audiences.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate meetings across international time zones, especially California to Europe.

Additional skills of interest:

• Advanced degree in psychology, HCI, anthropology, data science, cognitive science, or related fields.
• Interest or familiarity with IT services, enterprise technologies, SaaS, or digital workplace platforms.
• Experience working within or with technology services or IT organizations.
• Familiarity with tools like Adobe AEM, Adobe Sign, Adobe Workfront, Microsoft Dynamics, Power Apps, ServiceNow, Jira.
