Synergis is seeking a User Study Researcher II for our San Diego campus to drive comprehensive user research and data collection supporting hardware and software development. You will collaborate across engineering teams to plan, execute, and monitor studies, ensuring high-quality data and actionable insights.

The role emphasizes hands-on involvement in equipment setup, inventory, and vendor coordination, with a focus on data-driven decisions that shape product experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in operations, test/quality/support engineering, or technical program management.
• Strong troubleshooting and triage skills.
• Experience planning, executing and tracking large-scale data collection and user studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience coordinating with hardware, software, infrastructure, and operations teams.

User Study Researcher II

Join our innovative team as a User Study Researcher II and play a pivotal role in advancing cutting-edge algorithm development through comprehensive user research and data collection. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate across multiple technical teams, manage large-scale studies, and drive insights that shape the future of our technology. Your expertise will directly impact the design and deployment of hardware and software solutions, ensuring seamless data operations and user experience excellence.

Required Skills:

• At least 3 years of industry experience in operations, test/quality/support engineering, or technical program management.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and triage skills.
• Proven ability to plan, execute, and track large-scale data collection efforts and user studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working closely with hardware, software, infrastructure, and operations teams.
• Nice to Have Skills:Knowledge of hardware and software platform setup and documentation.
• Experience in vendor training and deployment.
• Background in industrial engineering, operations management, or related fields.
• Preferred Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a similar discipline.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex data collection projects with cross-functional teams.
• Other Requirements:This role is 100% onsite at our San Diego location.
• Ability to support equipment setup, inventory management, and vendor collaboration.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $57.00 to $62.80 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
