Job description

Senior UX Designer – Internal Products / Operations

Location: Atlanta, GA – 5 Days Onsite

Contract: Long-Term W2 Contract

Level: Senior UX Designer / Senior Product Designer

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to join a team focused on improving complex, associate-facing digital products used to support day-to-day operations.

This designer will initially support a highly visible product used by frontline leaders and associates to manage operational workflows, coordinate work, and make their jobs more efficient. The product is receiving significant investment and has an active roadmap of enhancements and new capabilities.

This is a great opportunity for a strong end-to‑end product designer who enjoys solving complex workflow problems, getting close to users, and designing practical experiences that have a direct impact on how people work.

Direct freight, logistics, or supply-chain experience is not required. We’re much more interested in designers who can quickly understand complicated workflows and turn user and business needs into intuitive product experiences.

What You'll Do
  • Own UX design across complex, associate-facing product experiences from discovery through delivery.
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and define product solutions.
  • Translate complicated operational processes and workflows into intuitive, easy‑to‑use experiences.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs.
  • Work within and contribute to established design systems and interaction patterns.
  • Conduct hands‑on user research with frontline employees and managers.
  • Visit local stores to observe users in their actual working environment, understand workflows, and gather feedback.
  • Synthesize research and user feedback into actionable design decisions.
  • Present design thinking and recommendations to product partners and stakeholders.
  • Iterate quickly based on feedback, technical constraints, and evolving product requirements.
  • Independently manage design work while collaborating with a broader UX organization.
What We're Looking For
  • Senior-level experience in UX Design, Product Design, or Interaction Design.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end ownership of complex digital products.
  • Experience designing enterprise, internal, employee‑facing, operational, or workflow‑heavy products is highly valuable.
  • Ability to simplify complex systems and processes without losing important functionality.
  • Strong interaction design, information architecture, and visual/UI design fundamentals.
  • Experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry, or other hands‑on research.
  • Comfortable working directly with users in their actual work environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, UX partners, and business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of ambiguous problems and moving work forward with limited direction.
  • Proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping/design tools.
Direct experience in freight or logistics is not required.

We're open to designers from a variety of industries. Relevant experience could include:

  • Workforce management
  • Employee or associate tools
  • Retail or store technology
  • HR technology
  • Inventory or fulfillment experiences
  • Warehouse or distribution technology
  • Logistics or supply chain
  • Other complex internal workflow products
Research & Location Expectations

Because these products are used by frontline associates, this role includes occasional in‑person research at Atlanta‑area locations.

Some users work overnight schedules, so there may occasionally be research sessions later in the evening - potentially around 10 PM. The team understands this is outside traditional working hours and will provide flexibility around schedules when evening research is required.

For that reason, we are primarily targeting candidates who are based in the Atlanta area and comfortable participating in occasional onsite field research.

Why This Role?

You’ll join a well‑funded product area where UX has the opportunity to directly influence how thousands of employees complete their work. Rather than designing in a vacuum, you’ll be able to see how your product is actually used, talk directly with the people using it, and turn those insights into better experiences.

If you enjoy complex problem solving, internal products, operational workflows, and getting close to the people you’re designing for, this could be a great fit.
