Motion Recruitment is seeking a UX practitioner to work with cross-functional teams in an agile environment. You will define user stories, influence design decisions, and collaborate with developers to deliver user-centered solutions.

Strong emphasis on research, usability testing, and data-driven recommendations. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years in UX, proficiency with modern tools, and experience across iterative design, prototyping, and accessible design.

Qualifications

Job description

Duration: 4+ Months with possible extension
Description:
  • Work with a cross-functional team using agile methodology to define user stories and UX deliverables
  • Influence design and product owner decisions based on UX best practices, design principles and research
  • Collaborate with developers to find the most effective, expedient and efficient way to implement solutions
  • Collect, analyze, present and action feedback and manage changes to deliverables
  • Present work in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders (be able to explain design recommendations by citing best practices, research data or business requirements)
Design
  • Design the visual style, interface and interaction flow of applications and experiences
  • Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups and prototypes
  • Develop and maintain detailed specifications and design patterns
  • Gather and translate rules and assets into UX systems, programs and enterprise solutions
  • Prepare, manage, update and distribute UX documentation (navigational flows, wire frames, mock-ups, use cases, task flows prototypes, content, system errors, etc.)
  • Advocate for the user and collaborate with business owners to develop features and flows that align with the users needs
UX Research
  • Create research strategies based on project KPIs and develop usability test plans, scripts and scenarios for prototypes. Regularly formulate and test hypotheses during design iterations.
  • Use research techniques (heuristic reviews, user interviews, remote unmoderated and in-person testing) to determine ease-of-use and comprehension of designs and ideas
  • Design, recruit / schedule and moderate usability studies and user interviews
Project management
  • Provide timely status reporting (including work left to do, issues, risks) on all projects
  • Manage all communications necessary to get the project done including negotiating with key stakeholders
A qualified candidate should possess
  • Bachelors degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Visual Design, Library Sciences or other related discipline, or equivalent experience or training
  • 3+ years of experience as a UX practitioner with a background in user experience design, interaction design or similar
  • Strong skills in modern design and prototyping tools (Axure, Sketch, Zeplin, Flinto, Adobe CC)
  • Experience working closely with developers from inception through implementation in an agile environment
  • Advanced analytical skills dealing with complex data problems and implementing sustainable solutions
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, product lines, roles, geographical and time zone boundaries
  • Knowledge and proficiency using remote unmoderated testing tools and moderated testing devices and platforms
  • In-depth understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and a solid grasp of trends in web and app design
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to label, classify and intelligently build flows and wireframes for complex computer applications are a plus
  • Experience rapidly iterating designs to conduct user testing and to deliver to development teams
  • Experience in responsive, adaptive and accessible designs
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and communicate effectively with non-technical users
A preferred candidate should posses
  • Bachelors or masters degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Visual Design, Library Sciences or other related discipline, or equivalent experience or training
  • 5+ years of experience as a UX practitioner with a background in user experience design, interaction design or similar

Candidate must have experience with Native IOS & Android

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Designers and stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of business problems and advocate for user experience.
  • Contribute research strategies that help define and work toward product portfolio objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Advocate for and perform discovery and evaluative research to reveal product insights ahead of development.
  • Conduct qualitative UX research using industry-standard methods such as moderated usability tests, heuristic evaluations, user interviews, contextual inquiries and competitive analyses to understand user behaviors, needs, motivations and pain points.
  • Perform quantitative UX research leveraging methods like surveys, clickstream analysis, eye-tracking studies, card sorting, tree testing and unmoderated usability tests to quantify user behaviors, validate design decisions and measure ease-of-use, comprehension and satisfaction.
  • Effectively present and communicate actionable insights to product teams based on research outcomes.
  • Use analytical tools (Adobe Analytics, Quantum Metric, etc.) to gather data insights that aid and supplement portfolio research strategies and help UX to better understand the complete experience of those we build products for.
  • Create, update and advocate personas, customer journey maps and service blueprints to help product teams stay organized, focused and customer centric.
  • Work in a self-guided Agile environment across multiple initiatives and ceremonies.
  • Actively guide and benchmark product performance with quantitative UX metrics; proactively review customer feedback and find problem areas to focus on. Scale UX research by building infrastructure, educating others and contributing to Research Ops.
  • Utilize research software / hardware (including eye tracking equipment) and participant recruitment resources.
Top 3 Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in human computer interaction, human factors engineering, computer science, visual design, behavioral sciences, psychology or other related discipline
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design, experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods and analytical skills
  • Experience and understanding of SPSS, R, SQL, database queries and basic programming languages
  • Knowledge and ability using remote unmoderated testing tools and moderated testing devices and platforms
Nice to have Skills:
  • Ability to present work in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders- explain design recommendations by citing best practices, testing data or business requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, product lines and roles
