Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a User Experience Designer to translate business requirements into intuitive web experiences. You will analyze requirements, conduct usability studies, and craft visual design concepts and information architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI design or related field preferred.
• Strong artistic and visual eye for web design.
• Proficiency with Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Understanding of CSS, (X)HTML, XML, JavaScript, and information architecture is desirable.
• Must communicate effectively with project teams and participate in brainstorming sessions.
• Portfolio of Web Design/User Experience Design projects.

Responsibilities

• Consult with business users and IT to determine information needed for visual design concepts.
• Conduct user research including usability studies, interviews, and surveys.
• Develop information architecture for web development and interactions.
• Maintain awareness of current usability and user-centered design best practices.
• Consult with users, architects, project leaders, and management to resolve problems.
• Assist with development and maintenance of corporate web standards.
