We’re seeking a thoughtful and strategic UX Designer to help shape the future of the in-exam room experience. In this freelance role, you'll design intuitive, visually engaging interfaces for digital exam room screens—improving functionality for both physicians and patients as we roll out new features.

You’ll play a critical role in translating complex healthcare interactions into simple, elegant user experiences that enhance communication, comfort, and clarity during the clinical visit.

Responsibilities:

• Design wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity visuals for new features on digital exam room screens
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and clinical stakeholders to align design with functional needs
• Apply user-centered design principles to enhance both physician and patient usability
• Conduct light user research or interpret research findings to inform UX decisions
• Ensure designs are accessible, intuitive, and aligned with brand and product guidelines
• Iterate quickly based on feedback from cross-functional partners

Ideal Background:

• 4+ years of experience in UX design, ideally with experience in healthcare or health tech
• Strong portfolio showcasing user flows, wireframes, and polished visual design
• Experience designing for multi-user or shared-screen environments (exam rooms, kiosks, displays) is a plus
• Proficient in Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools
• Experience collaborating with engineers in agile environments
• Ability to manage your own time, deliver high-quality work independently, and meet deadlines
