Job summary

IBM is seeking a Designer Intern to join our Austin-based product team. You will shape user-centered experiences for enterprise software by combining user research, interaction design, visual design, and design thinking.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Research, and Customer Success to deliver tools that are useful and delightful. The ideal candidate will translate user insights into concrete designs, create flows and prototypes, and contribute to design systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in UX and UI design principles.
• Ability to create wireframes, journey maps, prototypes and specs.
• Proficient with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply design thinking to identify and solve user problems.
• Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity designs.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to define product requirements.
• Develop visual experiences and maintain design systems.
