Walser Automotive Group is seeking an Inventory Manager for the Bloomington area to source, manage, and optimize the used vehicle inventory across the dealership network. You will partner with the General Manager and Used Vehicle Department to set and achieve monthly and annual goals, analyze market data, and ensure accurate online inventory and descriptions.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, 3+ years in auto sales, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years automobile sales experience.
• Preferred experience in used vehicle buying or other inventory experience.
• Ability to retain crucial information regarding the retail/wholesale vehicle market.
• Ability to make detailed financial decisions within strict timeframes.
• Proven organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Positive attitude and team player.

Responsibilities

• Source used vehicles via auctions, craigslist, curb buy and other sources.
• Track purchases through quality inspection and reconditioning process.
• Manage retainage and gross.
• Assist GM and Used Vehicle Department with annual and monthly sales/gross objectives.
• Analyze sales data and market reports to guide decisions.
• Attend pricing and managerial meetings and make recommendations to inventory team.
• Forecast and monitor sales metrics and adjust strategies to meet goals.
• Assist sales staff in closing deals and conduct fly-bys and turnover.
• Coordinate with sales managers to set objectives and improve F&I penetration.
• Follow rules for safeguarding customer information.
• Support customer satisfaction targets and dealership standards.
• Collaborate with marketing to ensure accurate online inventory display.
• Create and update online vehicle descriptions.
• Provide brand-specific vehicle information to managers at Walser and partner dealerships.
• Review market analyses to determine pricing adjustments weekly.
• Support development of ad campaigns and in-store merchandising.
