Job summary

M&K Truck Centers is seeking a Used Truck Technician / Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair semi-trucks and trailers for resale. This role focuses on diesel engine repair, DOT inspections, and heavy-duty maintenance to ensure units are sale-ready.

The successful candidate will perform inspections, diagnose issues, replace engines, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and may weld/fabricate as needed, while maintaining productivity and quality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of truck and trailer repair experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, depending on repair needs and shop capacity.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • CDL (preferred, not required).
  • Technical training from an OEM (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

  • Perform DOT inspections on used trucks and trailers.
  • Diagnose and complete diesel truck repair and maintenance.
  • Repair or replace engines, brakes, suspension, electrical, and other components.
  • Identify and correct mechanical and cosmetic deficiencies for resale.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on heavy-duty trucks.
  • Complete welding, fabrication, and parts replacement as needed.
  • Restore trucks and trailers to resale-ready condition.
  • Maintain productivity while delivering high-quality repairs.
  • Work on all makes and models of semi-trucks and trailers.

We are hiring a Used Truck Technician / Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair semi-trucks and trailers for resale. This role is ideal for technicians with experience in diesel engine repair, truck maintenance, DOT inspections, and heavy-duty equipment repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform DOT inspections on used trucks and trailers

  • Diagnose and complete diesel truck repair and maintenance

  • Repair or replace engines, brakes, suspension, electrical, and other components
