Job summary

Jgpete is seeking a Diesel Truck Technician to join our team in Rock Springs, WY. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of hands-on automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment repair experience and will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience as a technician (automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment preferred).
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use digital repair documentation.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (e.g., shop or garage setting).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a wide range of vehicles or equipment.
  • Perform general repairs including but not limited to clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, batteries, AC, oil changes, bolt on components, and replace transmissions.
  • Tag all warranty parts and returns, take photos
  • Document all work performed clearly and accurately
  • Adhere strictly to safety procedures and company policies
  • Take part in ongoing training and development programs
  • Make minor welding repairs

You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles or machinery while upholding high safety and quality standards.
