Job summary

Discount Furniture Depot in Jackson, MS, seeks a sharp, personable go-getter to help us sell more furniture and run a great showroom. Expect $12/hour to start plus commission, with both part-time and full-time hours available.

You’ll post daily on Facebook Marketplace, respond to inquiries, and help customers in the showroom to close sales while coordinating deliveries and maintaining a clean showroom.

Qualifications

• Familiar with posting and marketing furniture daily on Facebook Marketplace, FB Groups, and OfferUp.
• Natural salesperson who is confident, friendly, not pushy.
• Ability to juggle multiple conversations and respond quickly.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Post and market furniture daily on social platforms with good photos and honest descriptions.
• Turn DMs, comments, and calls into sales quickly.
• Manage the Facebook page: posts, engagement, and promos.
• Assist customers in showroom to find the right piece and close the sale.
• Ring up sales and handle payments.

Discount Furniture Depot is a locally owned furniture store (new & used) in Jackson, MS, and we're growing. We're looking for one sharp, personable go-getter to help us sell more furniture and run a great showroom.

What you'll do:

• Post and market our furniture daily on Facebook Marketplace, FB Groups, and OfferUp — good photos, honest descriptions, priced to move
• Turn DMs, comments, and calls into sales, fast
• Run our Facebook page — posts, engagement, promos
• Help customers in the showroom find the right piece and close the sale
• Ring up sales and handle payments
• Load and deliver furniture to local customers
• Keep the showroom clean and looking sharp — light cleaning, polishing, minor repairs
• Occasionally help out next door at Midsouth Hotel Supply when things are slow

What we need from you:

• You live on Facebook marketplace and know how to move inventory through it
• You're a natural salesperson — confident and friendly, not pushy
• You respond fast and can juggle multiple conversations at once
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• You can lift and move furniture
• You don't need hand-holding — you see what needs doing and do it
