Job summary

HOLT CAT is seeking a Used Equipment Sales Representative in Waco, TX. You will locate, develop, and maintain prospects and customer relationships to buy and sell machines and attachments.

You’ll align with our values, collaborate with internal/external teams, and pursue ongoing self‑development. The role involves selling Holt Heavy and Texas First rental fleets, locating used equipment, and managing sold machinery paperwork while traveling to client sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two+ years of sales experience or related work.
• Knowledge of CAT products and services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customer prospects and maintain relationships.
• Assist in selling machines and attachments from Holt fleets.
• Travel to customer locations and demonstrate equipment.
• Manage paperwork and documentation for sold machines.

Job description

The Used Equipment Sales Representative locates, develops, and maintains new prospects and existing customers for the purpose of selling and buying machines and/or attachments.

Desired daily practices include demonstrating alignment with the company’s mission and core values, collaborating with key internal and external resources, and participating in ongoing self‑development.

Department: Machine Division (MAC) · Employment Type: Full Time · Location: Waco, Texas · Reporting To: Brian Pruski

Essential Functions

• Model, promote, reinforce, and reward the consistent use of HOLT’s Values‑Based Leadership tools and processes.
• Assist in selling machines and/or attachments from Holt Heavy and Texas First rental fleets.
• Locate used machines/attachments for sales, rentals, and inventory purposes.
• Maintain customer relationships to achieve rental, sales, and service revenue goals.
• Manage the exchange and preparation of sold machines.
• Maintain sold machines’ paperwork and documentation through COTI.
• Purchase machines for inventory and record sales or other business transactions.
• Source and develop new business opportunities and customers.
• Purchase machines for in‑territory salesmen.
• Demonstrate equipment and vehicles to customers.
• Travel to and from customer locations.
• Work safely at all times and comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Hours

• 50+ hours a week, including late evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred. Two or more years of work‑related or sales experience required.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
• Travel: Up to 30% travel expected.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform all job duties with reasonable accommodations for disabilities; extended stationary work and occasional movement inside office; required manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina; routine visual and auditory reactions; inspection of work visually.
