Capital Auto Group is seeking an Automotive Used Car Technician in Wilmington, NC, to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair pre-owned vehicles. You will ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for customers, working with a team that values skill and quality workmanship.

The role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, reconditioning, and collaboration with the service team to keep vehicles moving efficiently through the process, with ASE certifications preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to diagnose and repair automotive systems.
• Experience with pre-owned vehicle inspections and reconditioning is preferred.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pre-owned vehicles to evaluate condition and identify repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and safety concerns using standard tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake service.
• Document inspection findings, recommended repairs, and completed work.
• Conduct quality checks to meet safety and dealership standards.
• Collaborate with service team to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures and keep a clean work area.
