Job summary

Lithia & Driveway is hiring a Used Car Technician to diagnose, inspect, and repair vehicles at our Costa Mesa, CA remote shop for excellent reconditioning standards.

The role requires experience with European brands, EVs, and strong diagnostic abilities. ASE certification is preferred, with a valid driver’s license and commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with European brands.
• 2+ years of experience working with electric vehicles.
• Understand how to perform multi-point inspections.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• ASE certifications preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Maintain productivity and efficiency goals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle systems, including brakes, suspension, HVAC, electrical, and engine components.
• Conduct multi-point inspections
• Complete used vehicle reconditioning services to ensure vehicles meet dealership quality and safety standards.
• Accurately document inspections, repair recommendations, and completed work orders.
• Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operation and repair quality.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle systems, including brakes, suspension, HVAC, electrical, and engine components.

• You’ll be reporting to the Recon Manager and working at our remote shop in Costa Mesa, CA.

Total Rewards

The Hourly Wage Range for this position is $30 - $35. Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
