L0516 Ford of Downtown LA is seeking an Experienced Service Technician to join a high-volume service department in Los Angeles. The role will perform repairs, diagnose issues, and road-test vehicles to ensure quality, while adhering to safety standards and company procedures.

You will document work on repair orders, manage tool inventories, and collaborate with service advisors to deliver reliable, timely service with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Formal automotive training and certification required.
• 2+ years of automotive repair experience.
• ASE and manufacturer certification encouraged.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, following standards.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions.
• Complete work according to safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repair quality.
• Document work performed on repair orders and record procedures and time.
• Provide and maintain an inventory of standard mechanic tools.

What You'll Do

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, following Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Document work performed on repair order, record test procedures/results and time, per company recording and clocking procedures.
• Provide and maintain an inventory of normal mechanics tools.

What You'll Bring

• Formal Automotive training, education and certification required 2+ years of prior automotive repair experience, depending on technician level being considered
• We encourage ASE and manufacturer certification.
• A team player who is focused on providing high-level customer service
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.

Total Rewards

• The CA base pay for this position is $18.42 - $36.84 hourly/flat rate. Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
