Job summary

Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Scottsdale is seeking an experienced Used Car Reconditioning Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair trade-in and purchased vehicles for our pre-owned inventory. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, and experience with a variety of makes and models.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience performing vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Must have personal tools and a toolbox.
• Effective written and verbal communication and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Inspect used vehicles to identify damage, maintenance needs, and necessary repairs.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Identify additional services, repairs, and parts needed and communicate recommendations to the Service Manager.
• Estimate the time required to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Complete all work according to dealership standards and repair order instructions.
• Maintain thorough workmanship and follow established shop procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the service team to ensure vehicles are properly reconditioned for resale.
