Job summary

Burns Honda is seeking an experienced Used Car Recon Technician to join our Used Car Reconditioning Department. This full-time automotive tech role requires diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning a wide variety of vehicles while maintaining a fast-paced, high-volume shop and keeping vehicles moving efficiently.

Responsibilities include performing used-vehicle inspections, identifying and repairing mechanical and safety concerns, completing brakes, suspension, steering, maintenance and fluids,

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician experience.
• Ability to work on all makes and models.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Experience with used vehicle inspections and reconditioning preferred.
• Ability to identify needed mechanical and safety repairs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to the team.
• Dependable attendance and professional work habits.
• Commitment to completing repairs correctly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform used vehicle inspections and reconditioning
• Diagnose and repair mechanical concerns
• Perform brakes, suspension, steering, maintenance, fluid services, and general mechanical repairs
• Identify safety and mechanical concerns during inspection
• Complete repairs efficiently to help maintain Used Car Department inventory flow
• Maintain accurate repair documentation
• Communicate additional repair needs to management
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
