Job summary

Grapevine Honda in Grapevine, TX is seeking a Used Car Tech Technician to diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to factory standards. You’ll perform repairs, road-test vehicles, and ensure every job meets Lithia and manufacturer specifications while delivering outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, automotive tech training, and the ability to obtain ASE and OEM certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in automotive technology preferred.
• Previous experience as an Automotive Technician with used vehicle reconditioning, repair, and maintenance experience.
• OEM-certified technician preferred (CDJR, Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or other manufacturer certifications)
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across multiple vehicle makes and models
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, repair tools, and digital service systems
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with team members when needed
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time clocking procedures.
• Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results.
• Ensure that customer’s vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
• Complete all required training.
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training.
• Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management.
• Review the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.
• Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
• Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.]
