Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Senior Technician in Denver to perform vehicle repair and maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and conduct multi-point inspections to ensure safety and reliability. You will document work, communicate with Parts and Service Advisors, and provide an exceptional customer experience that drives loyalty.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2+ years as an automotive technician, and a valid in-state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, following dealer and factory standards to drive customer loyalty.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs when authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend actions to ensure safety and reliability.
• Document work performed on the repair order.
• Keep an inventory of tools not normally inventoried by the service department and stay current with factory bulletins and training.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards, to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with the Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair, if authorized by the Customer.
• Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
• Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician’s tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as 'special tools.'
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty

What are the requirements for this job?

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician
• Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs)
• Attention to detail
• Organization and follow-up skills
• Valid in-state driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
