Job summary

Subaru of Olathe is seeking a Used Car Technician to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicles, road-test repaired units, and communicate status and timelines to service advisors and customers. You will continuously learn new automotive techniques and maintain an organized shop environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on diagnostic work, teamwork with technicians, and a commitment to high-quality guest experiences in a fast-paced dealership setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle

Responsibilities

• Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testing
• Road-test vehicle to ensure quality repair work was completed
• Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work as well as the estimated time for completion so that customers can be informed
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology
• Maintain an organized and neat shop area
• Other duties as assigned by Management
