Job summary

Napleton Volkswagen of Sanford, part of the Ed Napleton Automotive Group, seeks a Used Car Buyer/Director to manage all used car operations for Napleton Volkswagen of Sanford and Volkswagen of Orlando.

This high-volume leadership role requires a proven track record in used car sales management, strong purchasing acumen, and the ability to lead and develop a sales team across multiple locations. Growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of proven success as Automotive Dealership Used Car Sales Manager/Buyer.
• Experience with internet and retail tools, V-Auto.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Previous high volume and producing high units per month preferred.
• 18+ years of age to comply with company driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Purchases used vehicles online and forecasts inventory needs.
• Understands market trends in geographic markets.
• Guides and supports dealership Sales Associates in purchasing used vehicles.
• Appraises used vehicles.
• Maintains a prospect development system and schedules appraisals/purchases.
• Leads used car sales team in hiring and training.
• Resolves customer issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensures high standards for vehicle delivery to customers.
• Ensures adherence to dealership policies by sales staff.
• Communicates effectively with customers, subordinates and management.
• Manages reconditioning and posts vehicle photos online.

Located Napleton Volkswagen of Sanford, the Used Car Buyer/Directoris responsible for managing all areas of the Used Car Department for Napleton Volkswagen of Sanford and Volkswagen of Orlando, including wholesale, retail, purchasing and marketing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Purchases used vehicles online: utilizing used car sites and forecasting the needs of used vehicle inventory at the dealership.
• Understands market trends and changes to trends in geographic market.
• Provides guidance and support to dealership Sales Associates as it relates to purchasing used vehicles.
• Appraises used vehicles.
• Maintains a prospective development system of current used vehicle prospects and schedules appointments to appraise and purchase used
• Ability to hire, train and effectively lead all used car sales associates.
• Ability to handle and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure high standards are held for delivery of vehicles to customers.
• Ensure that sales representatives always understand and follow dealership policies.
• Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with customers; subordinates and other management.
• Properly and efficiently manages reconditioning vehicles and post photos online
