Job summary

Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC in Green Bay, WI is hiring a Waste Water I at our Acme Street plant. You will perform daily maintenance, sampling, and monitoring as part of the water treatment process.

This entry‑level role requires safety training, ability to work overtime, and the willingness to operate around moving equipment in a high‑volume beef facility. Training in SQF, GMPs, HACCP is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Work in a variety of temperatures with PPE.
• Must be able to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily oiling and greasing to keep equipment running.
• Draw chemical samples and run jar tests to monitor chemical dosage in PPM.
• Clean probes and calibrate to maintain acceptable pH ranges; document levels.
• Wash tankers using water and chemicals; scrub and rinse as needed.
• Monitor DAf device operation; document findings every 15 minutes; adjust as needed.
• Oversee chemical delivery to WWTP and Sanimax; follow safety procedures.
• Use pallet jack to change out fat combos and wash out empty combos.
• Record intake water pit and holding pit levels.
• Complete DAF log, PH log, chemical log, water quality, etc.

Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC., an American Foods Group Company has opportunities for Waste Water I at our Acme Street plant in Green Bay, WI.

As Waste Water I, you will

• Perform daily oiling and greasing to ensure equipment operates efficiently and effectively.
• Perform daily chemical drawdowns and conduct jar tests to measure and monitor parts per million (PPM) of chemical dosage.
• Clean probes and perform daily probe calibrations to ensure they are within the acceptable PH ranges; document PH levels.
• Use water and chemicals to scrub, wash, and rinse tankers.
• Visually monitor water speed and chemical delivery to Dissolved Air Flotation Device (DAF), document findings every 15 minutes; troubleshoot and make chemistry, flow, and air adjustments as necessary.
• Visually inspect and check pumps for proper output.
• Oversee chemical delivery to Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Sanimax; ensure all safety procedures are followed.
• Use pallet jack to change out fat combos and wash out empty combos (as needed).
• Monitor incoming water pit and holding pit levels.
• Complete required paperwork (DAF log, PH log, chemical log, water quality, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior quality assurance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility.
• Prior production experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Work history in the last 12 months.
