Job summary

Bluepoint Engineering LLC. seeks USCG-licensed 3rd Mate (Unlimited) for an underway assignment originating in Mobile, AL aboard the vessel T-EPF. This is a 12-hour day watchstanding role with a daily rate of $840.

Responsibilities include navigational watchkeeping, safety equipment maintenance, and safe port and cargo operations. Candidates must hold the required licenses and credentials and be able to work Offshore schedules.

Qualifications

Current USCG 3rd Mate License (Unlimited) is required.
Valid TWIC must be in effect.
USCG Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with current medical Certificate.
A valid U.S. Passport.
STCW-95 endorsements appropriate for rank.

Responsibilities

Stand Navigational Watchkeeping (Bridge Watch) underway with safe lookout and voyage logging.
Inspect and log Life-Saving Appliances and Fire-Fighting Equipment for compliance.
Lead emergency drills and respond to emergencies as assigned.
Monitor port/anchor watches; assist with cargo loading and draft readings.
Maintain Deck Log, Port Log, Compass Error Log, Radar Log, and inspection records.
Assist with anchoring, mooring, unmooring, and training deck cadets.
