Job summary

Zachary Piper is seeking a Quality Control Manager to enforce quality control on USACE projects in Tracy, CA. The role leads weekly QC meetings, manages submittals, and ensures compliance with three-phase control processes.

Responsibilities include reviewing shop drawings and test data, tracking deficiencies, maintaining RMS logs, and ensuring on-site quality across projects. A High School Diploma and 7+ years of QC experience with USACE are required; CQM or CQC-M certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma and 7+ years of experience in QC management on projects.
• Experience with USACE projects and understanding of USACE quality requirements.
• Certification: USACE CQM or CQC-M preferred; ability to pass a government background check.

Responsibilities

• Chair and document weekly QC coordination meetings with subcontractors and attend progress meetings with USACE Resident Engineer or administrative team.
• Update and maintain RMS to log daily QC reports, track submittals, manage deficiencies, and upload test results.
• Implement and document the mandatory USACE Three-Phase Control process (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-up phases) for every definable feature of work.
• Identify, document, and track construction defects using a rework log, ensuring prompt corrective action and closure.
• Review, approve, and track all shop drawings, material samples, and technical data sheets before submission to the government or on-site use.
