Position Summary
As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. You will deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. Collaborating with other associates, you will ensure the club meets the member’s expectations.
What you'll do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate others on tools, tasks, resources, and mentor new technicians. Communicate and develop interpersonal skills to provide safe and efficient customer service.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Show proficiency with Point of Sale systems, phone, and in-person selling techniques.
- Be a Techie: Use digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve service, and elevate engagement. Utilize handheld technology for business decisions related to services, safety alerts, product information, and training.
- Be an Owner: Manage equipment, tools, supplies needs, track returns, operate cash registers, process transactions, maintain inventory, and ensure safety and compliance. Address complaints and safety hazards, complete documentation, and assist members with their needs.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the brand, value the member experience, and model high-quality service. Develop and mentor team members, recognize contributions, and foster a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented environment.
- Act with Integrity: Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance, support company culture, and hold oneself and others accountable. Support Walmart’s goal of positive environmental and social impact.
- Serve our Customers and Members: Deliver results with a customer-first approach, make decisions based on reliable information, and consider long-term impacts.

The hourly wage range is $20.00 to $27.00, with potential additional premiums based on specific circumstances.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to complete required training and assessments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in auto service industry or retail
