Job description

Position Summary

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. Your goal is to deliver more of what members love, for less. You will collaborate with other associates to ensure the club meets members' expectations.

What you'll do
  1. Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate others on tools, tasks, and resources, and mentor new technicians. Communicate effectively to provide safe and efficient customer service.
  2. Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety protocols, tire and battery industry standards, service standards, equipment operation, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Use Point of Sale systems and sales techniques effectively.
  3. Be a Techie: Use digital tools to plan sales, improve service, and enhance associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to safety, product information, and training.
  4. Be an Owner: Communicate needs for equipment, tools, and supplies. Manage returns, special orders, and operating cash registers. Maintain inventory accuracy, safety, and compliance. Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues.
  5. Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the brand by valuing member experience, modeling high-quality service, and inspiring others. Embrace diversity, foster a culture of belonging, and support team development.
  6. Act with Integrity: Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance. Support Walmart's culture and accountability. Act selflessly, humbly, and transparently.
