As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local retail store, your role will support and oversee repairs within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team, utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment using skills and tools to complete jobs.
• Utilize the work order management system to support stores and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following safety policies and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and move ladders frequently.

The hourly wage range for this position is $28.00-$54.00, with actual rates depending on location and experience. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule or work performed.

Minimum Qualifications...

Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and controls, or 4 years of experience in similar fields. EPA Type I/II Certification for refrigerant handling. A valid license in the city/state where the job is located is preferred.
