Job Description

Eurofins Built Environment Testing is looking for a Laboratory Technician for our Seattle location. This full-time position offers a Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm shift, with possible overtime and weekends as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
  2. Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
  3. Greets and assists laboratory clientele.
  4. Performs routine lab tasks to familiarize with methods, practices, and programs, including:
  • Preparation of samples using standard techniques.
  • Receiving and logging samples using a LIMS system.
  • Assisting with Environmental Health and Safety and Quality Assurance duties.
  • Recording and reporting unusual test occurrences to the supervisor.
  • Performing routine maintenance.
  • Ensures compliance with Eurofins environmental health, safety, and Quality assurance standards.
  • Maintains general housekeeping in work area.
  • Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods.
  • Conducts activities safely and efficiently.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:
    • High school diploma required.
    • Some college coursework in chemistry, biology, or geology preferred.
    • Previous experience in production or food service helpful.
    • Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills.
    • Problem-solving skills.
    • Customer service skills.
    • Ability to participate in team activities and manage meetings.
    • Effective time management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to use calculator/mathematical formulas and concepts.
    • Ability to complete work within time and quality constraints.
    • Ability to work independently following instructions.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills.
    Additional Information:

    Compensation: $21 per hour.

    Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with overtime and weekends as needed.
