Job description

Position Summary

Ensures financial sustainability by compiling and reporting budget information, requesting replacement HVAC/VR equipment for facilities, submitting warranty claims, reviewing journals and invoices, conducting price comparisons of refrigerant parts and travel-related costs, and developing scopes of work for projects such as rooftop units and condenser coil replacements.

Completes work assignments in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) service by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with management, coworkers, customers, and other partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicating progress; and seeking improvements and learning from feedback.

Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local HVACR regulations, including building codes, indoor air quality, and cold chain requirements, by conducting inspections and repairs.

Follows OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to safety policies, environmental guidelines, and reclaiming refrigerants.

Provides required paperwork such as expense vouchers, refrigerant logs, and work orders.

Manages resources for HVACR maintenance by tracking refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and developing relationships with suppliers and contractors.

Ensures proper operation of HVACR and EMS systems by troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance, coordinating with external service providers.

Provides expert advice and guidance, supporting the development and execution of action plans, and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs.

Builds relationships with stakeholders, identifies business needs, and implements solutions while monitoring progress and adapting to changes.

Models compliance with company policies, supports company values, and demonstrates ethical standards and integrity.

Demonstrates respect for individuals, fosters a positive environment, and supports diversity and inclusion.

Acts with integrity, maintains transparency, and encourages ethical behavior among colleagues.

The hourly wage range is $23.00-$45.00, with potential premiums based on specific circumstances. The actual wage will meet or exceed local minimum wages.

Minimum Qualifications

Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, or 4 years experience in similar fields. EPA Type I/II refrigerant handling certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program or a Mechanical license in the job location's city or state.
