As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our store, your role will support and oversee repairs within the Walmart Refrigeration HVAC equipment team, utilizing your commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.

Minimum Qualifications...

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, documenting repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart's safety policies and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Compensation:

Hourly wage range: $23.00-$45.00, with actual pay meeting or exceeding local minimum wages. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, location, or work performed.

Minimum Qualifications...

Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, or 4 years' experience in similar fields. EPA Type I/Type II certification required.

Preferred Qualifications...

Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program, or a Mechanical license in the job location's city/state.
