Position Summary

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing routine maintenance to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of Walmart stores. The technician will work under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager, following maintenance schedules, conducting inspections, and repairing facilities and equipment.

What you'll do

• Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets using various craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Use work order systems to support store repairs and document activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance needs.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete safety and operational training for equipment and tools.

Position Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Comfortable working in various temperatures and environments.
• Valid driver's license; eligible for a CDL.
• Vocational or technical certification and relevant work experience in trades like plumbing or electrical, or 5 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical program.
• License in a related trade.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Benefits and Compensation

Competitive pay starting from $19.00 to $35.00 per hour, with potential bonuses, benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k), stock purchase plan, and Walmart's Live Better U education program. Additional premiums may apply based on work schedule or location.
