About the team:

Our team advances Walmart’s e‑commerce search backend by applying machine learning and advanced algorithms to deliver highly relevant product results. Focused on enhancing the customer journey, the team ensures a smooth transition from intent to purchase. Leveraging expertise in data science, natural language processing, and large language models, the team continuously improves search accuracy and user experience. Collaborating across functions, it supports scalable model deployment and data pipeline development, driving optimized business outcomes through innovative, data‑driven solutions.

What you’ll do:

• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
• Deploy and monitor models in production, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Write, test, and document code to support data science initiatives and maintain solution integrity.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong expertise in predictive analytics, machine learning algorithms, and statistical hypothesis testing.
• Proficiency in Python programming and data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, or Tableau.
• Experience with data strategy, including data quality standards, governance, and scalable data storage solutions.
• Ability to assess, validate, and tune models using best practices and relevant evaluation metrics.
• Skilled in translating complex business problems into data‑driven solutions with advanced analytical modeling techniques.
• Knowledge of deploying and monitoring models in production environments to ensure performance and scalability.
• Effective communication skills to present data insights and guide junior team members.

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00 - $264,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
