As a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local retail store, your role will support and oversee repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration and HVAC equipment team and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Duties:

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart's safety policies and environmental guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently.

Compensation:

Hourly wage range: $26.00-$51.00, with actual pay meeting or exceeding the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Option 1: 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
Option 2: 8 years’ experience plus AAS in A/C and Refrigeration.
EPA Certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of a 2-year HVAC/R technical/vocational program or AAS in A/C and refrigeration, excellent driving record, prior experience with Glycol and CO2 systems.
