What You Will Do

• Gather requirements to design and plan software solutions
• Design and implement software solutions by writing code in a manner consistent with the company’s coding standards and guidelines
• Test code to ensure it is performing as expected in regard to correctness and performance
• Manage programming tasks and ensure they are worked on in priority order as determined by the manager
• Track bugs in the code and provide fixes in a timely manner
• Participate in the planning and scheduling of tasks, and be responsible for meeting deadlines as determined jointly with the manager
• Produce internal and external documentation for software components
• Recommend changes and improvements in the overall shared codebase
• Stay up-to-date with current development tools, processes, and techniques as related to the type of programming tasks assigned
• Protect operations by keeping information confidential
• Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science) or equivalent experience
• 3‑5 years of development experience
• Expert experience with .NET and C#
• Expert ability to troubleshoot, debug, and performance‑tune software code
• Demonstrable experience building and supporting reliable, always‑on backend services
• Experience building solutions using AWS and Terraform
• Experience with Docker containers and container orchestration systems
• Experience with scalable distributed systems
• Experience working with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with Angular or other comparable modern front‑end tools
• Excellent communication skills: strong verbal and written communication and ability to adapt to the level and nature of the audience
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a careful approach to handling issues
• Ability and desire to learn new technologies

Minimum Qualifications

• Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year’s experience in software engineering or related area.
• Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, knowledge of implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and a commitment to supporting an inclusive culture through Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines.

Location and Compensation

Seattle, Washington US‑11573: The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 – $216,000.00.

Denver, Colorado US‑11581: The annual salary range for this position is $99,000.00 – $198,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
