Position Summary
As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
What you'll do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicate effectively, and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service. Be flexible to the needs of the business, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
- Be an Expert: Maintain in-depth knowledge of various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations. Provide meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping), ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and manage inventory, operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, while encouraging others to adopt these tools.
- Be an Owner: Drive business results by ensuring operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a clean work area, ensuring quality standards, eliminating waste, securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise, assisting members with purchasing decisions, and ensuring merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience, modeling high-quality service, executing duties at the highest level, interacting with associates to understand and address roadblocks, and assisting in training.
- Compliance and Work Management: Follow company policies, procedures, and ethics. Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers and team members, prioritizing tasks, communicating progress, and seeking continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications
- 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to complete required training and assessments successfully.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in meat processing area is preferred but not required.
