Job description

Position Summary

As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What you'll do
  • Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicate effectively, and develop interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service. Be flexible to the needs of the business, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
  • Be an Expert: Maintain in-depth knowledge of various meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations. Provide meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management. Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
  • Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, enhance the shopping experience, and boost associate engagement. Use handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, and encourage others to adopt new tools.
  • Be an Owner: Drive business results by ensuring operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a clean work area, ensuring quality standards, eliminating waste, securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise, assisting members with purchasing decisions, and ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience, modeling high-quality service, executing tasks at the highest standards, and mentoring others. Recognize contributions and help train team members.
  • Compliance and Collaboration: Follow company policies, procedures, and ethics. Complete work assignments effectively, collaborate with managers and colleagues, prioritize tasks, communicate progress, and seek continuous improvement.
Core Values
  • Respect the Individual: Embrace diversity, create an inclusive workplace, and foster a culture of belonging where all associates can thrive.
  • Act with Integrity: Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance, be accountable, and support Walmart's values and culture.
  • Serve our Customers and Members: Deliver results with a customer-first mindset, make informed decisions, and consider the impact on stakeholders.
  • Strive for Excellence: Be curious, take calculated risks, support change, and pursue continuous improvement.
