Position Summary...

As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What you'll do...
  • Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicate effectively, and develop interpersonal skills for providing excellent customer service. Be flexible to the needs of the business, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
  • Be an Expert: Maintain in-depth knowledge of various meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations. Provide meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping), ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation, and inventory management. Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
  • Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and enhance associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, adapting to new tools and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Be an Owner: Drive business results by ensuring operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring quality standards for high-volume meat products. Eliminate waste, secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise, assist members with purchasing decisions, and ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience in the meat area, modeling high-quality service, and executing duties at the highest level. Interact with associates to understand and address roadblocks, and assist in training them.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics by implementing related action plans, applying the Open Door Policy, and executing business practices.
  • Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources. Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, communicate progress, and identify improvement opportunities. Adapt to change and feedback.
