The Senior Manager, Data Analytics at Walmart leads the development and execution of advanced data strategies to support business objectives. This role requires expertise in data sourcing, quality management, and visualization to transform complex data into actionable insights. The position involves collaborating across functions to identify analytical solutions, guiding teams in applying statistical and big data techniques, and delivering clear, impactful presentations to influence decision-making. About the team

The Data Analytics team drives the creation and delivery of advanced reporting and analytical solutions that support business objectives and compliance. Focused on data accuracy, governance, and quality, the team provides actionable insights through modeling and visualization. Collaborating with stakeholders, they align analytics strategies with operational goals to enable informed decisions. The team responsibly integrates modern AI tools to enhance efficiency and accelerate analytics processes. Supported by mentorship and best practices, members manage complex projects and continuously advance data-driven business performance in a dynamic environment.

What you’ll do

• Identify and evaluate data sources aligned with business requirements and service level agreements to ensure data fitness and quality.
• Develop and apply advanced analytics and automation techniques to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
• Design and implement effective data visualizations using tools such as Tableau and Power BI to communicate complex insights clearly.
• Utilize Geospatial tools and strategies to develop maps integral to the business
• Lead data quality management initiatives, including profiling, cleansing, and monitoring to maintain high data standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align data strategies with business objectives and regulatory policies.
• Drive continuous improvement by integrating emerging data technologies and fostering a data-centric culture.

What you’ll bring

• Extensive experience in data analytics, including big data technologies and advanced data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of data quality management, governance, and data strategy principles to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Proficiency in data modeling, dashboard creation, and exploratory data analysis using SQL, Python, or similar tools.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable data solutions and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams, mentoring associates, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deep understanding of business domains and the capability to align data analytics with organizational objectives.

Salary

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.

1 year's supervisory experience.
